Denkai Animal Sanctuary’s exempt purpose is to prevent animal suffering through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, lifelong sanctuary care, and affordable veterinary services. Since its founding in 2004, Denkai has helped approximately 55,000 animals. Its affordable veterinary clinic has served 4,735 patients since opening in April 2025. Denkai also provides community vaccination clinics, foster placements, and education about responsible animal care. Achievements that are harder to measure include keeping animals with families who might otherwise be unable to afford care, giving neglected animals a safe place to recover, and strengthening cooperation among volunteers, veterinarians, and community partners.
