About Rebel

Rebel is a one-year-old Catahoula mix who came to us as a stray with striking features, including one blue eye and one brown. At twelve months old, he is still finding his footing in the world and starts out a bit shy with new people. Once he feels secure, however, he settles in as a dedicated companion who enjoys quiet time and close company. Because he relies on other dogs for confidence, Rebel requires a home with at least one other friendly, resident dog to show him the ropes. He mirrors the energy of his canine friends and finds it much easier to relax when he has a four-legged partner by his side. He has a medium energy level and is just as happy playing in the yard as he is resting inside. Rebel is looking for a patient household with a predictable routine. He does well with children and would thrive with a family that understands the slow-and-steady approach to building trust.
