Meet Baxter! Baxy, for short. Baxter may have short legs, but he has big energy and an even bigger personality. He's a certified short-stack with a whole lot of love to give. Baxter hails from Queens, and like any true New Yorker, he's tough as nails. At around 5 years old, he's a confident little guy who loves strutting the streets of Brooklyn. He's a great walking buddy, enjoys some quality sniffing along the way, and is eager to listen to his person. He's also one smart cookie. Baxter knows tons of commands, but paw is his specialty—especially when cheese is involved. Baxy is truly down for whatever. Want to sleep in and cuddle all morning? He's there. Ready to get up and play? He's there, too. He loves his toys, takes tug-of-war very seriously, and when playtime is over, he's a master snuggler who loves curling up with his person. Baxter would thrive with someone who appreciates his playful, confident personality and wants a dog who can be both an adventure buddy and a couch companion. He may also enjoy sharing his home with another dog, with larger canine friends likely being the best match. He has had limited dog interactions so far, but we always recommend slow and proper intros always! An adult-only home would be ideal for him.
